The boot camps are usually focused on testing and this helps the candidate to identify their areas of weakness and determine the skills that need to be polished so that they can be ready for the official MCSE certification exam. At the boot camp, the candidates spend a lot of time taking mock exams under actual test conditions and this preparation is invaluable when you actually take the real test.

The least expensive of the training options are the CBTs and books, which are available separately for each of the exams required for the MCSE Certification. The candidates can decide on either of the two options depending on whether they find it easier to study from a computer screen or printed material. One word of caution here is that the candidates should check that these are the latest editions and conform to the current MOC (Microsoft Official Curriculum) for that particular exam.
